Why Our Prices Are Changing in 2026

Global server hardware costs have risen sharply in 2026, driven by the explosive growth of AI infrastructure demand worldwide. As technology giants race to build and expand AI data centers, the demand for server components — memory, storage, and processors — has far outpaced supply. This has created a structural shortage across the entire hosting and cloud infrastructure industry, affecting providers of all sizes globally.

Server memory (DRAM) contract prices surged over 90% in Q1 2026 alone, with shortages expected to persist through the year, according to industry analyst firm TrendForce as reported by Tom's Hardware. Major manufacturers such as Samsung and SK Hynix have redirected production capacity toward high-bandwidth memory for AI accelerators, leaving the broader server and hosting market competing for a significantly reduced supply of standard components. The result is an industry-wide cost pressure that no hosting provider can avoid.

At Nibub, we have worked hard to absorb as much of this cost increase as possible over the past year without passing it on to our clients. However, continuing to do so is no longer sustainable while maintaining the level of service quality and infrastructure reliability our clients depend on.

Effective 1st July 2026, Nibub hosting services will reflect a 30% pricing adjustment — a partial pass-through of the hardware cost increases absorbed over the past year. Domain services will see a 5% adjustment due to changes in global registry and registrar pricing. Billing will also transition from a month-end to a month-start cycle for improved consistency, and all renewals on or after 1st July 2026 will follow the updated pricing structure.

We understand that any pricing change has an impact, and we do not take this decision lightly. Our commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality services to every client remains unchanged. All existing services will continue without interruption.
